Company · About

A company that grew with its projects.

Epix didn't widen its services to have a longer list. The disciplines grew because clients' projects kept getting more complex.

The problem first. Then the solution.

Let's talk about the project All projects

How we choose the technology

If an integration solves it

you don't need a new application.

If automation solves it without AI

AI isn't needed.

If the existing system can be extended

it doesn't have to be replaced.

The goal is the business result

not a list of technologies used.

In numbers

  • on the market since 2018 · company since 2020
  • 950+ delivered projects
  • 190+ team members including external partners
  • 800+ m² of LED technology in use
  • operations in Slovenia, Serbia and the USA

Where we work

  • from Slovenia, on projects at home and abroad
  • Switzerland - recurring photo and video production on location
  • Croatia - production delivered on location
  • Greece - product photography for a brand
  • European projects - documentation and communication content

How we think about technology

We don't use technology because it exists

Every choice has to be justified by the problem it solves, not by what happens to be current.

If an integration solves it, you don't need a new application

Connecting the systems you already run is often faster and cheaper than building a new one.

If automation solves it without AI, AI isn't needed

We add AI where understanding content or making a judgement is required - not everywhere.

If an existing system can be modernised properly, we don't throw it away

Modernisation preserves the data, the users' habits and the investment already made.

How Epix got here

Epix has been operating since 2018, initially as a digital agency, with Epix Group d.o.o. incorporated in 2020: websites, design, content and digital marketing. Production work grew out of that - video, photography and technical event delivery - because clients wanted the material their websites needed to come from one place.

In 2022 came software development and the introduction of artificial intelligence. The trigger was not a wish for a new field but clients who needed a system that could not be bought.

Today the largest part of the business is different from where it started: public tenders and larger projects, where delivery is followed by multi-year maintenance and where several people work on the project at once.

Why technology and production sit under one roof

A client launching a new service rarely needs one thing. They need the system that runs it, the site that presents it, the material that shows it and often the event that launches it. That is four suppliers, four quotes and four deadlines - and four places where something can fall between them.

Here it is one project structure and one accountability. That is also why the company grew in both directions at once rather than specialising in one.

  • one point of contact for the whole project
  • one schedule instead of four
  • material made for the system it will be published in
  • nobody can point at another supplier

Where the weight of the work sits today

Most current projects share two traits: delivery is not the longest part, and the team is not one person. Rollout is followed by maintenance that runs for years, and it is that part which reveals whether the solution was well designed.

  • public tenders with documentation and support requirements
  • projects with multi-year maintenance after go-live
  • deliveries involving several teams at once
  • our own products, running in daily use
