Events · Sound
Professional sound for events.
From a speech event or conference to a demanding corporate or stage production. We size the system for the room and the programme, not from a price list.
One technical contact from the plan to the last item on the programme.
When clients usually bring us in
- you need a larger LED setup
- the event needs multi-camera production
- the programme has to be streamed
- you're juggling several technical suppliers
- you want one team for the whole delivery
You don't have to book the whole production
We can take on sound as a standalone service or as part of the full technical production.
What this means for you
- one technical contact for all audio
- a system sized for the room and the audience
- a sound check before the doors open
- a technician present through the whole programme
- the option of a backup system on the critical paths
Problem → solution

How we plan the system
The room
The size, shape and acoustics of the room determine how many speakers are needed and where they go.
The programme
A speech event needs a different setup than a concert or a stage production.
Audience size
Coverage is planned so speech stays intelligible in the back row.
Indoor or outdoor
Outdoors we account for wind and power; indoors for reverberation and wall reflections.
Stage layout
Where speakers, music and monitoring sit is coordinated with lighting and cameras.
Before and during the event
Technical plan
Layout, power, signal paths and crew allocation.
Input list
What gets miked, with which microphone and on which channel.
Wireless plan
Frequency coordination so the microphones don't interfere with each other.
Sound check
A check with the speakers and music before the audience arrives.
Backup plan
A spare microphone, a redundant signal path and a procedure if something fails.
Show
An engineer at the desk, microphone management, monitoring and playback.
Speech and music are not the same job
A system that handles music well is not necessarily good for speech, and the other way round. With speech, intelligibility decides - everyone must hear the words, including the back row and the sides. With music, evenness and headroom decide. A programme with both needs a system that does both.
- a PA sized for the room and the programme
- microphones: headset, lavalier, handheld and lectern
- wireless systems with coordinated frequencies
- monitoring for performers on stage
- audio playback from presentations and videos
- a separate audio feed for cameras and the stream
- a sound check before the programme, not during it
- an engineer at the desk throughout the programme
The room is part of the system
A reverberant room with bare walls, glass and a high ceiling breaks up speech regardless of the equipment. So during the site visit we listen to the room: where it reflects, where the ventilation noise is, and how the audience will absorb sound once they arrive.
An empty room sounds different from a full one - which is why a sound check is done knowing what will change.

FAQ
Can you cover sound only if the LED comes from elsewhere?
Yes. In that case we align signal paths and scheduling with the other supplier before the event.
How much time do you need on site before the event?
It depends on the scale. A conference setup usually takes a few hours; a stage production is built the day before.
Do you provide a technician for the whole programme?
Yes, that is the usual arrangement. Without a technician we only supply the equipment as rental.
