A stream is a chain and the weakest link decides
A live stream is not a camera that broadcasts. It is a sequence: cameras, vision mixing, graphics, stage audio, encoding, network and platform. If any link fails, nothing works - and the viewer sees a black screen, however good the camera was.

The network is the usual culprit
A venue's wifi is there for guests. When three hundred of them arrive, a stream that worked in rehearsal falls apart during the show. So a stream always runs on a separate connection, by cable where possible, and is tested under real load before the programme.
