Events · Staging

Stage, structures and the technical infrastructure of an event.

The structure carries everything else: screens, lighting, sound and people. We plan it around load limits and access on site.

When clients usually bring us in

  • you need a larger LED setup
  • the event needs multi-camera production
  • the programme has to be streamed
  • you're juggling several technical suppliers
  • you want one team for the whole delivery

You don't have to book the whole production

We can cover LED only, video only, sound only, lighting only or streaming only - with or without an operator.

What this means for you

  • One supplier instead of five separate crews.
  • Equipment tested before the event day.
  • Backup paths for the critical parts of the system.
  • One point of contact during the show.

A stage is a load-bearing structure, not scenery

A stage structure carries people, equipment and often the screen as well. So dimensions, load ratings and access matter more than looks: what fits through the door, what the floor takes, where the rigging points are and how much time there is to build.

  • stage size and height relative to the programme and sightlines
  • floor loading and how the weight is distributed
  • access: doors, lift and the route into the room
  • rigging points and their certified capacity
  • steps, rails and performer safety
  • cable protection and paths between equipment
  • load-in and load-out times agreed with the venue
  • the stage backdrop: screen, print or structure

Sightlines decide the layout

A stage that is too low means the third row sees the heads in front of them. Too high, and the front row is looking up. So we set the height from the room depth, the seating layout and the screen height behind the stage, not from habit.
