Which kind of film solves which problem
| Purpose | What gets made |
|---|---|
| introduce a company or a team | a corporate film of two to three minutes that does not date within a year |
| sell a product or service | a commercial with one clear message and versions by length |
| explain how something works | an explainer with graphics, often without a location shoot |
| show an event | an event recap plus short cuts for channels |
| publish regularly | a series of short pieces from a single shooting day |
| carry an event live | a multi-camera stream with vision mixing and a recording for the archive |
What actually happens on a shooting day
A shooting day is not eight hours of filming. Setting up camera, sound and lighting takes one to two hours, and every location change another thirty to sixty minutes. Grouping shots by room rather than by script order is usually the difference between one shooting day and two.
- setup and a sound check before the first take
- shooting grouped by room, not in script order
- cutaways that give the edit somewhere to cut
- checking the material on location before the crew leaves
- a backup the same day
What you receive
- the finished film in the agreed formats and lengths
- versions for individual channels
- subtitles where agreed
- photographs from the shooting day where in scope
- source material and a project archive as agreed
Who is on the shoot
The crew is sized by complexity, not by the size of the client. A simple corporate film can be two people; a multi-camera production with a stage needs considerably more.
- director or shoot lead
- camera operator and camera assistant
- sound recordist for multiple speakers or noisy locations
- gaffer where lighting is built
- production manager for multiple locations or contributors
- editor who takes the material the same week

FAQ
Can you take on only part of the production?
Yes. We can do the shoot only, or the post-production only.

The deadline is agreed in advance based on scope; for events we can deliver a selection the same day.
Do you also prepare short-form for social?
Yes, we cut vertical and shorter versions from the same material.
