Photo and video production for a 30th anniversary event.

For AREX we delivered the photography and video of the company's 30th anniversary event, held over two days at several locations, and produced the aftermovie.

Two days, several locations, one finished set of communication material.

The project

The event brought together business partners, industry representatives and guests, and ran across two days at several locations.

We documented the official programme and presentations as well as the informal and evening parts - the material a company reports with, and the material that shows the atmosphere.

Alongside the photography we produced an aftermovie summarising the event and its key moments.

What this project proves

Multi-day photo and video production across several locations.

What makes a multi-day, multi-site event demanding

The material cannot be shot twice. The official programme does not repeat, the evening happens once, and the crew has to move between locations without missing anything in between. So the shot plan is agreed before the event rather than improvised.

  • what must be captured and what is a bonus
  • which people from the leadership must appear
  • when the crew moves between locations
  • how parallel programme tracks are covered

Two kinds of material from one event

Photographs for reporting to partners are not the same as footage that shows the atmosphere. The first are needed by communications right after the event; the second get used a year later in the invitation. If that is not separated in advance, the event produces one undifferentiated pile of files nobody opens.
